Beef liver is nature’s original superfood. When I started eating it I experienced so many benefits:
- My skin cleared up
- My energy was better
- I had more muscle growth
- I think I even developed xray vision…
But the problem is it tastes like something from fear factor.
Over the last year I’ve experimented with countless different recipes. Here are some of my favorite carnivore and keto liver recipes.
How to Cook Beef Liver: The 6 Best Carnivore & Keto Beef Liver Recipes
#1 Beef Liver Pate
Ingredients: Beef liver, sea salt, ghee, butter or cream.
Optional: brandy, onions and garlic.
Step 1: Cut beef liver into 1 inch strips
Step 2: Saute in a pan on medium-high heat until it’s almost cooked all the way through
Step 3: Transfer liver to a food processor
Step 4: Blend with cream, ghee or butter until it’s a smooth consistency. Optional: If you’re not a carnivore, feel free to add brandy, onions or garlic.

#2 Beef Liver Meatballs

Step 2: Add tallow to a pan
Step 3: Fry bacon in the pan
Step 4: Fry beef liver in the bacon grease. Optional: Add onions.
Step 5: Eat it all together.
#4 Bacon Wrapped Liver
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400
Step 2: Slice liver to 1 inch thick pieces and 3 inches long
Step 3: Wrap bacon around the liver. Secure with a toothpick
Step 4: Add sea salt.
Step 5: Bake for 10 minutes or until crispy.
#5 Dehydrated
Step 1: Slice beef liver as thin as desired
Step 2: Sea salt both sides
Step 3: Dehydrate in a dehydrator to desired crispiness
#6 Liver and Onions (not carnivore approved)
This is the classic liver recipe. Unfortunately, it’s not approved for my fellow carnivores. But if you’re just looking to add beef liver to your diet, this is a good way.
Step 1: Melt butter or tallow in a skillet over medium heat
Step 2: Stir in onions and saute them until they’re soft
Step 3: Slice liver into ½ inch thick slices. Add sea salt to both sides
Step 4: Cook approximately 2 minutes per side
Conclusion
Liver is nature’s original superfood. But it’s a pain in the a** to cook. It’s hard to source. Hard to prepare. And stinks up the kitchen.
I spent a year experimenting and finally discovered the best way to eat beef liver.
