Proof Beef Liver Works

Beef liver is nature’s original superfood. I constantly tout the benefits.

But here’s the actual proof. Coming across these studies was like Christmas for me. And I am excited to share them with you.

You see, most clinical studies are done on individual nutrients isolated in laboratories — rather than whole foods like we find in nature.

As a result, many studies have been done on nutrients in liver (like B vitamins.)

But few studies have been done on actual liver, like mine.

And even those are almost completely ignored by mainstream health professionals.

That’s why I have decided to spotlight three of these rarely-discussed studies for you.

Study #1: Anemia & Red Blood Cell Recovery

Date: December, 1934

Lead Researcher: Dr. William P Murphy

Recognized By: The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

Synopsis: Inspired by his work on war injuries, Dr. Murphy purposefully (and humanely) bled dogs to make them anemic.

Then he fed the dogs various foods to gauge which ones led to the most improvement.

(Meaning, replenishing their red blood cell counts fastest and most fully.)

Liver won by a landslide.

Later, Murphy and Dr. George Minot performed the same research on humans, and the results held.

As the Nobel Prize website puts it, “If patients ate abundant amounts of liver daily, their condition improved.”

Study #2: Energy & Anti-Fatigue

Date: July, 1951

Lead Researcher: Benjamin K. Ershoff, PhD

Published In: Proceedings for the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine

Synopsis: This study was performed on three groups of rodents.

As the Weston T. Price Foundation describes it, “The first ate a basic diet, fortified with 11 vitamins. The second ate the same diet, along with an additional supply of vitamin B complex. The third ate the original diet, but instead of vitamin B complex received 10 percent of rations as powdered liver.”

Then, all the rodents were placed into a drum of cold water and forced to sink or swim (literally.)

The first group swam for 13.3 minutes before tiring out. The second threw in the towel not much later: 13.4 minutes.

The third group — the one that ate liver — swam for between one and two hours.

Now get this: those endurance gains came from mere powdered liver.

Imagine what’s possible when you eat real, actual, grass-fed beef liver (like mine) as part of your daily carnivore diet.

Study #3: Higher Sperm Count, Concentration & Motility

Date: October 2019

Lead Researcher: Myriam C. Afeiche

Published By: Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Synopsis: We already know that eating red meat boosts testosterone and reproductive health.

But do those benefits increase when we add organ meats (like liver) to the rotation?

Myriam Afeiche and her team of researchers put this question to the test.

The results blew everyone away.

Men who consumed organ meats in addition to red meat like steak had 53% higher sperm count, 41% higher sperm concentration, and 8% higher progressive motility.

And this was AFTER the researchers adjusted for potential confounding factors.

Studies like these point in the same direction as my own personal experience, which is that . . .

Liver changes lives.

Bonus Anecdote: Beef Liver Reversing Neuropathy

Here’s an wild liver story for you all.

Dr. Darren Schmidt was presented with a patient with neuropathy in their feet and legs since 1991.

Daily pain was a 9/10.

Dr. Schmidt recommended:

1) A pound of liver a day
2) Meat
3) A liver supplement at high dose
4) Nothing else

3 days later, all the pain was gone.

This is a real superfood. Unlike Kale or that other green garbage.
